Everyday Mindfulness for Extraordinary Times (EMET) on Zoom
EMET resumes Fridays mornings beginning August 9 — Drop-ins welcome!
Everyday Mindfulness for Extraordinary Times (EMET ) provides simple mindfulness practices that support quieting the mind and opening the heart. We work with breath, body sensations, feelings, and thought, along with heart practices such as good will and compassion for self and others, joy, and equanimity. Most EMET sessions integrate 1-2 practice periods with time for inquiry and discussion. Brand new and experienced practitioners are welcome.
This fall EMET sessions will move through the 10 steps of James Baraz’ Awakening Joy program. Fall mindfulness practices in EMET will focus on: Intention; Mindfulness; Appreciation; Joy in Difficult Times; Integrity; Letting Go; Self Compassion; Goodwill for Self and Others; Radiant Joy; Equanimity
EMET is a donation-based program with a request $20 per session.
